I meet Sadie at her home, she had a houseful! But that all adds the drama and makes for great action shots. After photographing the pre wedding antics I drove to St Mary’s Church in Whittlesey. I met the groom in the George to capture some quick photos with the lads in uniform. It was a bitterly cold wedding day so we kept things short and sweet. The ceremony was very touching and Sadie couldn’t hold back her emotion which was nice to see.

After some quick group shots we headed to the warmth of the reception. Everyone was very relaxed and the atmosphere was great. The food and speeches were great. Then a heavy snow fall was the icing on the cake.

They were both full of enthusiasm; after all it was their wedding day. I met Jonny at his best man’s house to photograph the groom’s pre wedding antics… playstation and beer!

I then headed to Stacy’s home, where things were slightly more hectic. With a baby to dress a breakfast to eat and her own 101 things to do, it was all go.

We left for the Peterborough Registry office and began the service. After a touching service we took advantage of the photogenic arch in the grounds of the Peterborough Registry Office. We got through all the wedding group photos and individual, intimate photos.

The meal was in the city centre which gave us the opportunity to photography the Christmas lights and a classic Mcdonalds set up. Off to the reception to meet the night guest and have fun at the after party.

All three of them were wearing bright clothes which stood out against the white studio backdrop. The objective was to photograph the three of them together, easier said than done, the youngest was quite difficult to make smile naturally whilst the older two were accustomed to it. So it proved quite hard to get natural smiles.

Tip – running towards the camera generally always tempts a smile, so try that. Straight after go for a group hug you might even get a cheeky after effect smile if you are lucky.

They seemed extremely friendly and down to earth people. We got talking and it turned out they were looking for a wedding photographer to photograph their civil ceremony. We went through the necessary procedures and before long it was all booked up.

I meet them at their home to capture their gittery preparations. They opted to both wear suits, which suited them down to the ground. Obviously pink was inevitably involved in the colour scheme. They both were quite nervous, but the way they reflected their panic of one another was fascinating to watch, they really were two peas in a pod.

The ceremony was light humoured and touching, after the vows everyone could relax. It was quite a small wedding, so we got through the group photos in no time. There were plenty of cheeky children to keep the camera busy and the added bonus of a VW Camper was a great highlight.

The venue looked great and the food was incredible. I wish them both a life time of happiness.

It would be in their local village of Stilton Peterborough where Amy has lived all her life, so Stilton church and The Bell in Stilton where quite convenient indeed. Amy’s Dad was also the Vicar; it was all a very personal and homely affair.

I got to the church early to photograph the guests and the groom himself arriving. Right on time Amy made the short journey by foot from her home to the church. The ceremony was as you would imagine, very personal. Once over we captured some family photographs at the church before all walking to the Bell in Stilton. The idea of walking down the street to the venue had quite a unique feel to it, it added a bit of diversity to the selection of wedding photos.

At the Bell we got through all the group photos, there is good space around the venue, so you always have options. I then stayed to photograph the speeches, and then left the wedding party in peace to eat their wedding breakfast.
