Wedding Photographer Peterborough – Holiday Inn Peterborough

by lee

Michelle and Steve had opted for the elegance wedding package deal. This includes a story book, so I made a mental note to snap away and pick out fine detail. I arrived at Michelle’s parents’ home to find a relaxed atmosphere. I was joined by x2 videographers, which in my opinion normally limits and hinders the way I work, but on this occasion I would later discover that G.C Videos where great to work with and very respectful of the bride and groom and me also. I would highly recommend them.

I arrived at Paston church awaiting the bride’s arrival, she had an impressive amount of friends to greet her on her arrival, which added a personal warmth to the day. The ceremony was emotional as expected; unfortunately I had to keep me distance so I couldn’t capture the full effect of the emotion on camera.

After some grand confetti photos and photos with the car and champagne, we drove to the reception venue at the holiday inn Peterborough. Naturally it is not the best venue for group shots, but we managed, despite the harsh light to capture all that Michelle and Steve wanted. I made the most of the space we had to capture some intimate wedding photographs of them both, which turned out really well. Inside the venue looked good and I carried on shooting away into the night up until the first dance.

The guest signing frame also went down really well with all the guest.

Haycock Wedding Photographer – Katie and Karl’s wedding Photography

by lee

Katie and Karl decided on a storybook album package, so I prepared myself mentally for a long day’s photography. Whenever covering weddings where the bride and groom have opted for a storybook, I alter my style slightly. I have to record the day in far more minute and precise detail so the photos can come together on a spread as well as standing alone as individual photos.

I met a very organized Katie at her parents’ home, she looked stunning, a natural, beautiful bride. After capturing some fun and elegant photographs of her bridal preparations we made our way to the Wansford St Mary’s Church, quite conveniently situated around the corner from the reception venue, the Haycock Hotel Wansford. I aimed to capture unique and artistic photos as I knew the couple liked a dynamic approach to photography, although I kept my usual ‘go with the flow’ type of attitude, whilst trying my best to photograph the little ones. I always feel if people see you react well in front of children it instinctively relaxes everybody in-turn.

The Vicar delivered the ceremony in his accustomed whimsical, yet sincere manor. Then after some touching readings we were soon outside listening to the church bells ring.

Then just across the road to one of my favourite wedding venues in Peterborough, The Haycock Wansford. We utilised the ample space for group photos. Then we wondered down to the river to capture some superb photos in the dying light. I personally class the photos from this wedding as some of my best, not solely down to me, but also down to the bride and groom, the venue and the luck with the lighting.

Pet and Dog Photography in Peterborough

by lee

Alfie came to the studio with his owners full of enthusiasm, he was a very cute photogenic dog, and extremely attentive. That makes my job a lot easier and means I can concentrate more on dynamic camera angles and different set ups. Pet photographer is very rewarding when you capture a shoot that shows of the pet’s character to its full potential.

Pregnancy Portrait shoots and Baby Bump photos in Peterborough

by lee

Pregnancy portrait shoots are not for every woman, but I think they are a stylish and affectionate way to document the start of your child’s life.

My photographic approach is very respectful and professional. We will discuss photographic poses and positions, and then I will turn away until you are comfortable with your pose. I have changing facilities, so you can change in privacy. The baby bump photo portrait shoots last roughly an hour or so. I will use a black back drop for the more atmospheric photos and a white backdrop for the modern and fresh style of photos.

You can bring your own props if you have any personal ideas, otherwise I have some available at the studio. Once we have finished the pregnancy portrait session I will either upload the images to the website or you can come back to the studio to view your photos there.

Here are some examples

Blog – Guest Signing Frames and Engagement shoots in Peterborough

Guest signing frames are a unique touch to your wedding day. Have your family and friends leave a personal message that you can look back on in years to come and smile. They are an alternative to a guestbook, but you can still have both. I offer guest signing frames in all sizes and frame colours to match your preferred place to hang it.

Included with all my package deals you receive a free engagement shoot, the image from the engagement shoot will be placed in the frame for your wedding day, and then I will replace it with a photo of your choice from the wedding day if you wish. I also offer canvas signing frames if you prefer canvas.

I will provide easel and pens

Wedding Photography at Sibson Inn Peterborough – Jenna & Scott

by lee

Jenna and Scott had opted for the Full day wedding package. So I met Jenna at her home in Whittlesey. It was an early start and soon as I arrived the commotion was in full flight, but in a good way. There was a nice atmosphere and I could tell this was going to be a good wedding day. I stayed with Jenna and photographed her bridal preparations. Half an hour before the ceremony I made my way to the pub to find the groom. I suppose you could say there was more commotion their end as their little boy was teething, so he was not in the best of moods!

Just around the corner was the church, Whittlesey St Mary’s, a pretty church with great space for photographs. The ceremony went as planned and tears were shed. We arranged a few group photos before heading up the A1 to The Sibson Inn for the reception.

More group photos followed and then once we nailed the long list, I took the bride and groom off around the grounds of the Sibson Inn. As well as photographing the traditional lovey dovey photographs I always try and throw in some fun pictures. The swings and slide made great props. After 15 minutes or so we headed back in for the meal and speeches.

The evening guest began to arrive, which signals the first dance was near. I usually stay 30 minutes or so after the first dance then take my leave to start the long editing process. But just before I left all was rounded off with a bit of fun in a wheelbarrow!

Wedding Photography at Stoke Rochford Hall

by lee

Laura and Joe’s wedding day had final come round. They had booked a wonderful wedding venue, the Stoke Rochford Hall. I met Laura around her mum’s house to capture the bridal preparations. The first thing that caught my eye was the half eating double egg and sausage Mc muffin, If that was only half eaten, so there must be some nerves flying around!!

After an hour or so of photographing the mid-morning panic, I headed up the A1 to Stoke Rochford Hall. There the groom waited expectantly, wearing a tense smile. The bride arrived in style and the flowers and colour scheme looked fantastic.

After a nervous start to the wedding ceremony, the tension lifted after the vowels. We then headed outside to photograph the group shoots and enjoy the hot weather, with the added bonus of a spectacular backdrop.

The bride, groom and I got into the wedding car and drove down to the bridge away from everyone else. This gave us the chance to photograph some lovely, intimate photos. They turned out really well.

After the food and speeches I managed to persuade the newlyweds to venture outside once more to take advantage of the grounds. I’m not normally too pushy when it comes to dictating how the day runs, but when you have such wonderful grounds you just want to be shooting endlessly, so it takes some will power to remember it’s their special day not yours. I just try to be as tactful as possible and not too forward. Always give the bride and groom an option.

Wedding Photographer in Peterborough and Spalding – Ellanna & Scott wedding photos

by lee

Ellanna and Scott had opted for the Supreme Elegance wedding package deal which includes a large contemporary story-book album. With this in mind I headed to the brides home to capture the bridal preparations. If the bride and groom have selected a story book I have to alter my style of photography slightly, I have to concentrate on images that I think that would look good in a spread rather than a single image. I take lots of images that could work as background images, I make note of every little detail and capture it, the beauty of the storybooks are you can pack the album with fine detail. Baring all in mind, I blended into the background and snapped away.

I made my way to the church in Moulton Chapel and left a fairly nervous bride to collect her last thoughts. I photographed Scott and his best men and ushers before they went inside to await the arrival of the bride. I was gratefully informed I could take photos and move around during the ceremony, which was great news.

The bride arrived and began her steady walk down the aisle. The ceremony was touching and personal, with hints of loving humour throughout. Once the ceremony had finished we captured a few images around the church grounds. Once people dispersed to the venue, me, Ellanna, her son and Scott drove to a private venue with some beautiful grounds. We took 25 minutes or so to capture some peaceful, natural images of the three of them. We managed to photograph some wonderful images; it was just what they were looking for.

The reception was at the Baskervilles in Baston. The main room always look stunning there; it’s a well-lit venue, so it suits the photographer. After we finished all the group photos outside, it was time for the BBQ. The weather was great so the whole vibe of the day couldn’t off felt any more perfect. I stayed for the first dance and cake cutting, still concentrating of the finer details to help add in the visual impact of the storybook.

Then I left them to enjoy the evening entertainment
